The fine print

Privacy policy.

What we collect when you book with Bella Fold, why we need it, who helps us handle it, and how to ask us to change or delete it. We only collect what it takes to collect, clean and return your laundry, and we never sell your information.

1. Who we are

Bella Fold is a trade name of Bryan Family Ventures LLC, a Washington limited liability company based in Spanaway, WA 98387 (“Bella Fold”, “we”, “us”). We run a laundry pickup and delivery service in Pierce County, Washington. This policy covers bellafold.com, our booking and order pages, and the texts and emails we send about your orders.

2. What we collect

What you give us

  • Contact details: your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Collection address: the street address, city and zip code where we pick up and return your laundry, plus any zip code you check on our site to see whether we serve it.
  • Order details: the number of bags, your collection and return windows, how often you want a pickup, your care notes and preferences, any coupon code, and any tip you add.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your email address and password. Passwords are stored by our sign-in provider in a form we can’t read. If you book without an account, we create a private guest account behind the scenes so you can still see your order.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email, text or phone.

What we create while handling your order

  • The weight of your laundry, the charges and refunds on your order, and its status at each step.
  • Photos of your bag at the door when we collect it and when we return it, so you can see it arrived safely.

Payment details

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never touches our servers. Stripe keeps your card on file so we can charge the wash once your laundry is weighed. We can see only the card type, the last four digits and the expiry date.

What we collect automatically

When you visit our site, our analytics and advertising tools (see section 6) record things like the pages you view, the device and browser you use, your approximate location from your IP address, how you arrived (for example, from an ad), and actions such as checking a zip code, starting a booking or completing one.

3. How we use it

  • To schedule, collect, wash, fold and return your laundry, and to follow your care notes.
  • To take payment: the collection fee when you book, the wash after weighing, recurring pickups you set up, and tips you choose to add.
  • To send you texts and emails about your order, including receipts and refunds.
  • To answer your questions and sort out any problem with an order.
  • To plan our routes and keep the mileage and bookkeeping records the law requires.
  • To understand how people use our site, to improve it, and to measure and improve our advertising.
  • To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

4. Texts and email

When you book, we use your mobile number to text you about that order: when it’s confirmed, when we’re on the way, when it’s collected, when it’s out for delivery, and when it’s delivered, plus any payment you need to make. How many texts you get depends on your orders. Message and data rates may apply. We don’t send marketing texts.

To stop texts, reply STOP or email hello@bellafold.com. For help, reply HELP or call (253) 316-5470. If you stop texts, we’ll keep you posted on your order by email and on your My orders page.

We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with any third party or affiliate for their marketing. The companies that deliver our texts receive your number only to send our messages to you.

We also email receipts, refund notices and account messages (such as confirming your email or resetting your password) from hello@bellafold.com.

5. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run Bella Fold, and only as much as each one needs:

  • Stripe: payments and saved cards.
  • Supabase: our database, sign-in and photo storage.
  • Netlify: hosts our website.
  • Apple iCloud: sends and receives our email.
  • Textbelt and Twilio: deliver our text messages.
  • Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram): site analytics and ad measurement (see section 6).
  • Public mapping services (the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder, OpenStreetMap and OSRM): we send them addresses, without names, to work out driving distances for our mileage records.

These companies handle your information under their own privacy policies. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or with whoever takes over the business if Bella Fold is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

6. Cookies and advertising

Our site uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel. These use cookies and similar technology to count visits and to tell us when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to book. Google and Meta may combine this with other information they hold, and use it to measure and show ads. If you arrive from an ad, we also store the ad’s click ID in your browser for up to 90 days, so a sign-up you confirm later is still credited to that ad.

Our sign-in also keeps a small record in your browser so you stay signed in, including as a guest.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; booking still works. You can also opt out of personalized ads through Google’s ad settings and Meta’s ad preferences, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account and order history for as long as you use Bella Fold, so your address and care notes are ready for next time. We keep order, payment and tax records for as long as the law requires, which in Washington is generally at least five years. When we no longer need information, we delete it.

8. Your choices

  • See or change your details: your orders, address and care notes are on your My orders page, or you can email us to change them.
  • Delete your information: email us and we’ll close your account and delete your personal information, except what we must keep for tax, legal or accounting reasons or to finish an order that’s still in progress.
  • Stop texts: reply STOP at any time (see section 4).
  • Limit tracking: see section 6.

We’ll reply to any privacy request within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm it’s really you first.

9. Security

Our site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), card details are held by Stripe, and only the owners of Bella Fold can see customer records. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you as Washington law requires.

10. Children

Bella Fold is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll also email customers with an account before it takes effect.
