The fine print

Terms of service.

The agreement between you and Bella Fold when you book a collection. It covers how booking and payment work, what we can and can’t wash, and what happens if something goes wrong. When you book, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

Bella Fold is a trade name of Bryan Family Ventures LLC, a Washington limited liability company based in Spanaway, WA 98387 (“Bella Fold”, “we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and Bryan Family Ventures LLC. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. The service

We collect laundry from your door, wash, dry and fold it following the care labels and your care notes, and return it to your door. We serve the zip codes listed on our site, and the booking page tells you straight away whether we serve yours. You must be 18 or older to book.

3. Booking and prices

  • Our current prices are on our site. Each booking has a collection fee, which covers the trip both ways, plus the wash, charged by the pound.
  • The prices shown when you book apply to that order. We may change prices for future bookings at any time.
  • The wash total shown at booking is an estimate based on the number of bags. Your final wash charge uses the actual weight of your laundry, which we record when we weigh it.
  • Any extras you choose when booking, such as next-day return, are priced on the booking page.
  • A booking is confirmed once the collection fee is paid. We may decline or cancel a booking, for example if the address is outside our area or the window can’t be covered. If we do, we’ll refund anything you’ve paid for it.

4. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you book, you pay the collection fee and authorize us to save your card and charge it for the wash once your laundry is weighed, for any extras on the order, for future collection fees on any standing order, and for any tip you choose to add.

We post a receipt for every charge to your My orders page and email it to you. If a charge fails, we’ll ask you to pay another way. We may hold your laundry until the balance is paid, and we may decline new bookings while a balance is unpaid.

5. Standing orders

If you choose a pickup every week or every two weeks, we book your next collection two days ahead in the same window and charge its collection fee to your card on file. Any standing-order discount shown on our site applies to the wash on every collection after your first. You can pause, skip the next pickup, or cancel from My orders at any time. Changes apply to collections that haven’t been charged yet. If a collection fee can’t be charged, we skip that collection and let you know.

6. Cancelling and refunds

  • You can cancel a booking from My orders until we’re marked on the way. If you cancel before your bag is collected, we refund the collection fee in full. Contact us if you need to cancel after that point.
  • Once your bag is collected, the collection fee is not refundable.
  • Refunds go back to your original card. Your bank may take 5–10 business days to show it.
  • If something isn’t right with your laundry, see section 9.

7. Collection and return

  • Put your bag out where you told us, before your collection window begins. Use any bag or basket you’re happy to leave out. We’re responsible for your laundry from when we collect it until we return it.
  • If your bag isn’t out, or we can’t safely reach it, we’ll try to contact you. If we can’t collect it, we may treat the booking as cancelled after your bag would have been collected, so the collection fee isn’t refunded.
  • We return your laundry to the same place in your return window and take a photo when we drop it off. Once it’s delivered, it’s your responsibility.
  • Windows are our best effort. Weather, traffic or other things outside our control can sometimes make us late. We’ll keep you posted by text and on My orders.
  • If we can’t return your laundry and can’t reach you for 30 days, we may donate it.

8. What we can’t wash

Please don’t include:

  • Dry-clean-only items, leather, suede, fur, or anything whose care label says not to machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Items soaked in or contaminated with chemicals, fuel, oil, paint, mold, bodily fluids or other hazardous substances.
  • Anything flammable, sharp or dangerous.

Please empty all pockets. We aren’t responsible for things left in them, such as cash, pens, lipstick, tissues or electronics, or for damage they cause to the rest of the load. If we find an item we can’t safely wash, we may return it unwashed.

9. Care, damage and loss

We take real care with your laundry, but fabrics age and some things can happen even with careful washing.

  • Not happy with the wash? Tell us within 3 days of delivery and we’ll rewash the items for free.
  • Damage or loss: if an item is damaged or lost while we have it, tell us within 3 days of delivery, with photos if you can. If we’re at fault, we’ll pay what the item was worth when we collected it, allowing for its age and wear, up to $50 per item and $250 per order.
  • We’re not responsible for normal wear, shrinkage or color bleeding where we followed the care label and your care notes, for items without a care label, for stains that won’t come out, or for damage caused by things in pockets or by items in your bag that we can’t wash (see section 8).

10. Coupons and tips

  • Each coupon’s terms are shown with it. Only one coupon applies per order, and it covers only the order you use it on, not later standing-order collections. Some codes are for first orders only or for one use per customer.
  • Coupons have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for money, and may end at any time. We may cancel a coupon used against its terms.
  • Tips are always optional and are charged to your card on file once per order.

11. Accounts and messages

Keep your sign-in details private. You’re responsible for orders placed through your account, including by anyone you share a login with, such as a front desk. Give us accurate contact and address details so we can reach you and find your door.

By booking, you agree that we may text and email you about your orders, as described in our Privacy Policy. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts.

12. Limits of liability

Our service and website are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, plus anything we owe you under section 9, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under Washington consumer protection law that can’t be waived.

13. Disputes and Washington law

If something goes wrong, contact us first. Most problems can be fixed with a conversation. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute that we can’t resolve together will be heard in the courts of Pierce County, Washington, including small claims court.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here, with its effective date, applies to bookings made after that date. The terms in place when you booked apply to that order.
